Cody Johnson Is Excited To Be A Boy Dad!
Country superstar Cody Johnson and his wife, Brandi, are expecting their third baby – and this time it’s a BOY!
The couple announced the news at The Academy Of County Music Awards Thursday night, where Brandi showed off her sweet baby bump in a form-fitting dress.
“We’re having a little boy! We decided to make this our announcement to the world and our gender reveal as well,” Johnson told People.

Johnson says he is excited to watch his two daughters, Clara Mae and Cori, with his son.
“My girls, you can’t beat my girls, I love my two girls with all my heart. They’re 10 and 8, Clara and Cori, and I think I’m excited to watch them help raise this little boy,” Johnson gushed.
The country singer noted that him and his wife are in a much more “financially stable” situation now than when they had the girls, so baby boy Johnson may be getting things a little faster.
“He’s gonna get a horse a little quicker than my kids did. He’s going to get to do some things a little quicker than my daughters did,” Johnson continued.

Cody Johnson Makes Family Number One
The country star always makes his family his number one priority, sharing in the past how he will often bring Brandi and the girls on tour with him.
“We’re very fortunate — my wife and my two girls get to come with me a lot on the bus. We got our own bus just for that,” Johnson told PEOPLE Now. “And when you’re gonna go on the lead singer’s bus you think you’re gonna see a lot of things, not toys and diapers everywhere, but that’s generally what it looks like.”
“Big million dollar daycare center,” he joked.
Johnson’s dedication to his family is also evident in his music, with his daughters inspiring a few of his songs, including “I Know My Way Back (Clara’s Song)” and “God Bless the Boy (Cori’s Song).”
“For me, when I got married and when I had my daughter, those are two things that – when it does feel like work – makes me feel like I’m working for my family. I look around and just feel so blessed, because the opportunities that have been laid at my feet are second-to-none,” Johnson explained.
Johnson has been vocal about his love and admiration for Brandi, even featuring her in his music video “On My Way To You,” a beautiful love song about two people finding each other on the journey through life.
