Country singer Jimmie Allen decided to give the whole proposing thing his “Best Shot,” and we’d say he pulled it off!
Allen is a rising star in the country music scene right now, having just made his radio debut in 2018. But that was quite the debut, since the song, “Best Shot,” claimed the top spot on the U.S. Country Airplay chart.
The singer’s debut record, Mercury Lane, was also a success, and charted at the 11th spot on the Country Albums chart.

Songs like “Best Shot” and Allen’s current single, “Make Me Want To,” are both romantic in nature. After writing love songs for so long, Allen finally met and fell in love with the woman of his dreams, 23-year-old nurse Alexis Gale.
Gale is from Allen’s hometown in Delaware, though the two just started dating in the spring after being introduced through the wife of Allen’s cousin:
“With Alexis being from my hometown, it is like always having a piece of home with me. We had an immediate connection,” Allen told People. “It was like we’d always known each other.”
That’s why Allen wasted no time in asking Gale to spend the rest of her life with him. The singer chose to pop the question at one of his favorite places…Disney World…which he has visited a whopping total of 49 times.
While standing in front of Cinderella’s castle, Allen got down on one knee and proposed to Gale while their friends and family looked on. The romantic moment was captured by a Disney PhotoPass photographer, and the couple later shared those photos with People.

After the proposal, the pair visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which is currently celebrating the upcoming release of the new Lion King movie. So the two of them took the chance to pose in front of decorations honoring the film, including one wall reading “Can you feel the love tonight?” in Swahili.
Gale shared her own post about the proposal on Instagram, including two closeups of her dazzling ring. The oval-shaped stone appears to be surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds, while the entire band is also covered in tiny sparklers.

That’s a gorgeous ring! It’s clear that Gale loves it and loves Allen, as she wrote, “does this really mean i get to grow old with you?! yesterday, i said yes to forever I am beyond words & lucky to be able to call this incredible man my fiancé.”
