It Made Sense
It made perfect sense for country star and groom, Josh Abbott, whose name is synonymous with one of the biggest-drawing bands on the Texas country music scene,The Josh Abbott Band, to sing to his wife on their wedding day.
But, Abbott decided just singing to his wife-to-be, Taylor Parnell, wasn’t good enough. He decided to write a song and serenade his bride with a song written especially for her.
The Perfect Serenade
Abbott wrote the first verse a few days before the wedding and admitted he didn’t finish the song until the night before the wedding which took place July 8 in Austin, TX. Appropriately named “Taylor Made” as a nod to his beaming bride,Taylor, the serenade was everything you’d expect it to be.
And, yes, it made Taylor cry.
Dated Two Years
The lovestruck couple had been dating for two years before deciding to tie the knot.
In May of 2017 the couple’s daughter, Emery, joined their circle of love. It was Abbott’s infant daughter who helped her daddy propose to her mommy exactly one year ago (July 20, 2017.)
Wearing a little onesie that carried the message,”Mommy, will you marry Daddy?,” wedding plans were set in motion. The agreed upon date was a year from that event.

A Well-Timed Plan
The wedding’s timing was personal to the newly-married couple.
According to KLSI, a classic country radio station, Abbott said, “I proposed last July. We fell in love in Cabo two years ago in July. So we saw this as an amazing opportunity to have an anniversary in the same month. Every year moving forward, we will vacation most of the month to celebrate life and love!”
Taylor-Made For Me
Singing Parnell was “taylor-made for me,” the guests overwhelmingly approved and freely shared their blessings. It was truly the perfect song for a perfectly beautiful and emotional celebration of love.
