In a newly-revealed video clip, famed bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman is filmed proposing to his girlfriend just over six months after his wife’s tragic passing.

Dog The Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth Chapman became some of the most famous bounty hunters after starring in their long-running reality show took America by storm. Over the years, they’ve had a series of spin-off TV shows and most-recently debuted the final series that featured Beth: Dog’s Most Wanted on WGN America.

In June 2019, Beth Chapman was rushed to the emergency room and then put into a medical coma as doctors tried to save her from complications while she was battling stage four throat cancer. Unfortunately, she passed away and June 26th – and Dog has struggled with his grief ever since.

Just a few months after her passing, Dog appeared on The Dr. Oz Show to help figure out why he was having heart problems – something he’d previously attributed to his broken heart over the loss of his wife. As it turns out, Dr. Oz discovered that Dog was experiencing a pulmonary embolism and needed surgery immediately.

Now, after recovering from that, he has again returned to The Dr. Oz Show – with his girlfriend, Moon Angell, and the clip that Dr. Oz posted as a preview captures the exact moment when Dog decides to propose to Moon in front of America.

“Dog The Bounty Hunter – the new woman in his life is here,” the narrator’s booming voice says in the clip. “And Dog’s surprising everyone!”

A split-second later, it flashes to a clip of a tearful Dog looking to his side at Moon Angell and saying these few words: “Moon Angell….will you marry me?”

The episode, which is set to air on February 3rd, has set the internet on fire with people speculating why such a personal moment would be broadcast as a teaser. Does this mean she said no? Is the situation really as it seems? And why is he ready to move on so quickly after Beth’s passing?

These and other questions truly remain unanswered. Speaking of unanswered questions, when Moon Angell was asked about the proposal in her Instagram comments, all she would say is “He asked…make sure you watch Oz (kiss emoji).”
