First Graders Perform Line Dance To “Achy Breaky Heart”

Is there anything better than tiny tots in cowboy boots? We doubt it.

This first grade class at Rosewood Elementary put together a show for their peers and their parents, and it might just be the cutest thing you’ll see all day. Donning cowboy boots, bandanas, flannel, and cowboy hats, these kids lined up side by side for a special line dance to Billy Ray Cyrus’ hit song “Achy Breaky Heart.”

They started out the dance with some simple boot tapping, then transitioned into a pretty advanced grapevine spin move, which to be honest, we would even have trouble with!

All the kids did an incredible job, but one student stole the show in our eyes. The little girl, front and center, wearing a red cowboy hat and matching boots was the star of the show and even helped out her classmates a tad by counting out the beats.

Although these tots were born years after “Achy Breaky Heart” was released in 1992, its video is responsible for the explosion of the line dance craze, and they had to pay homage to it.
