On March 11, 2020, a male citizen and a female deputy in Larimer County, Colorado were attacked by the mountain lion – and footage of the attack was just released.
Deputies from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and game wardens from Colorado Parks and Wildlife responded to a report that someone was attacked by a mountain lion.
The mountain lion was tracked to a trailer park, where it attacked a deputy. The footage released shows part of the mountain lion’s attack on the female deputy.
Shots were fired at the animal, but to no avail. The animal then traveled to a home near Highway 34. There, a game warden shot and killed the mountain lion.
