Marty Brown captured the hearts of America when he first auditioned for America’s Got Talent in 2013. He delivered a beautiful rendition of his wife’s favorite song, Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love”.
He also won over the judges with his mind-blowing audition, who immediately sent him to the next round of competition. He went as far as the semi-finals before being voted off the show by the viewers.
Since the show ended, Brown has not given up on his country singing dreams. He continues to perform around the country and brings joy to everyone who comes across him. He’s uploaded several covers on his YouTube page, one of which being the incredible George Strait song, “I Cross My Heart”.
“I Cross My Heart” was the first single off Strait’s 1992 album Pure Country, which was the soundtrack to the film of the same name. It shot straight to No. 1 on the Billboard country charts and is highly regarded as one of his best songs.
Brown put his own spin on the classic love song, which went over extremely well with viewers. One person wrote, “I love George and you sang his song so well. Good job Marty keep it up!” Another even compared him to the great Buck Owens!
