Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in December of 2020. Anyone who has followed their careers can clearly see after all this time the two country stars are still madly in love with each other.
They both appeared as guest hosts for an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, May 28, 2021.
Brooks guest-hosted the show back in November, but said this time it “would be even better if I brought the love of my life.”
“You mean your cowboy hat?” Yearwood joked.
During the show, they decided to help members of the audience with their questions about love and how to sustain a long-term marriage.
Members of the audience were able to submit questions to and the answers were exactly what you’d expect – both Brooks and Yearwood answering while playfully teasing each other.
Finally, they were asked about the key to a long-lasting marriage.
“I think you gotta treat it like a duet,” Brooks said. “You gotta harmonize, you gotta make your partner feel like they’re a star. And if not, you’re gonna turn into a solo act pretty damn quick if you know what I mean.”
The two of them then sang a hilarious duet summarizing their advice with, “the wife is always right.”
