Lainey Wilson Inspires Young Girls Who Love Country Music
Lainey Wilson is one of the hottest stars in country music at the moment. She recently won four ACM Awards, including the awards for Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.
Lots of people resonated with the message Lainey shared in her acceptance speech for the Female Artist of the Year award. She spoke to any little girls out there who dream of following in her footsteps, saying:
“…everybody in this category didn’t just wind up here by happenstance. They have worked their fingers to the bone, they have put the blood, sweat, tears, and years and years into this. Made so many sacrifices, missing a lot of weddings, a lot of funerals…For the little girls watching this, this right here, it stands for hard work. If you’re gonna be a dreamer, you better be a doer.”

People passed the sign to Lainey, which read, “Lainey, my Dad bet me a pony if I get to get on stage at my first ever country concert.”
Lainey didn’t hesitate. She immediately asked for the little girl to be brought onstage.
The girl, whose name is Finley, burst into a bunch of happy tears as Lainey wrapped her up in a hug. For starters, she was surely happy to get to meet Lainey. Secondly, she knew that meant she was getting a pony!
Lainey made sure the girl’s father knew he had to uphold his end of the bargain. “She gonna get a pony now. I hate to tell you, but you’ve gotta go get a pony tomorrow,” she said.
Someone in the crowd happened to film Lainey’s interaction with Finley. They shared the video on TikTok, and you can watch it below.
Finley will never forget this moment, that’s for certain!
