Charley’s Iconic Song Beloved By Generations
If you were to rank the best country love songs, Charley Pride‘s “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'” would be in one of the top spots on the list.
Released in 1971, “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'” worked its charm on country fans far and wide, and managed to claim the number one spot on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Today, the song remains Charley’s signature piece.
With lyrics such as “The secret I’m speaking of is a woman and a man in love,” everything about “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'” is sweet enough already. But one talented grandma made it even sweeter when she sat down and offered up her personal take on the tune.
Grandma Sings Darling Renditions Of Country Classics
At well over 70 years old, Sylvia Jeneanne dreams of one day being able to make her own record. She has a love for old songs, including classic country music. In pursuit of her dream, Sylvia has started singing these beloved songs for videos she shares on her YouTube channel.
In one video, Sylvia decided to sing “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'” for all who come across her channel.
Seated on the floor, Slyvia sang into a microphone while an instrumental track played in the background.
With a bunch of spunk and a constant smile on her face, Sylvia delivered a sugary-sweet rendition of “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin’.” It’s a delight to watch her, as it’s clear that she has a love for singing country music.
You Get A Second Song Too
But Sylvia didn’t end her little performance there. She also sang a particularly impressive version of Patsy Cline‘s iconic song “Walkin’ After Midnight.”
There was no shortage of spunk in that performance either!
