Happy’s Place Season 2 is coming soon! The show, which first premiered last fall, has been a huge success among viewers.
The plot follows Reba’s character, Bobbie, who inherits her father’s bar after his passing. However, while reviewing his will, she discovers she has a half-sister named Isabella (played by Belissa Escobedo). Together, they must learn to run the business while navigating any challenge that may come their way.
With its pilot reaching over 10 million viewers across all platforms, Happy’s Place became the most watched new comedy series to ever launch on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.
Reba first shared the news back in March that Season 2 was coming soon. The show is set to return Friday, November 7.
One of the most special parts of Happy’s Place was just how many familiar faces Reba brought back on the show.
Melissa Peterman, who played Barbara Jean on Reba, was cast as a main character named Gabby, a bartender and Bobbie’s best friend. Christopher Rich, who played Reba’s ex-husband Brock on her early sitcom, returned to acting after a long break to take on the role of Maverick on the show, a tattoo artist.
The show’s creator, Kevin Abbot, discussed the possibility of having JoAnna García Swisher, who played McEntire’s daughter, Cheyenne, on Reba.
That idea soon became reality, as NBC posted a clip announcing she was joining the show as a special guest this next season.
“Dream guest star unlocked. 😍 JoAnna Garcia Swisher is joining #HappysPlace!,” NBC wrote last month.

Season 2 Behind-The-Scenes Look
On Monday (October 27), NBC released a brand new behind-the-scenes video, giving fans a glimpse at what’s to come for Season 2 of the show.
The characters walked through some upcoming scenes, including a possible marriage between Bobbie (Reba) and Emmett (Rex Linn). The idea would be a treat for fans as it foreshadows real life, since Reba and Rex confirmed their personal engagement during a red carpet appearance before this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards!
Melissa shared how excited she was to be in front of a studio audience again, and reunited with her co-stars. Reba thanked fans for tuning in, excited for what is in store over the next few months.
“If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t be here,” Reba shared. “Love y’all.”
