“Heartland” Actor Dead At 33

Toronto-born Robert Cormier joined the hit CBC show Heartland as the character Finn two seasons ago. The Canadian television series, about a family of ranchers, has been on the air since 2007 and due to its deals with Hulu and Netflix, it has become a very popular show in the United States.

Sadly, Cormier passed away on Friday, September 23rd at the age of 33. The show’s official Twitter account confirmed the news of Cormier’s passing, saying, “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier. He was a beloved member of the Heartland cast the last two seasons. On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time.”

Tributes to the actor, who also starred in Netflix’s Slasher, and appeared in ABC’s Designated Survivor, started pouring in on social media.

UP Faith & Family posted a photo of Cormier on the set of Heartland and wrote, “Robert Cormier, aka Heartland’s Finn, was an amazing talent, gone too soon. We are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family, and co-workers.”

Heartland co-star Michelle Morgan wrote on Instagram, “You had so many more stories to tell. May you Rest In Peace Robert.”

Cormier’s sister, Stephanie, told The Hollywood Reporter that her actor brother “died Friday in a hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario, of injuries suffered in a fall.”

Cormier’s last social media post was on August 29, and it was of him with a bunch of Heartland scripts getting ready for the upcoming 16th season.
