Zachery Ty Bryan Has Faced a Long List of Legal Issues Over the Years

Not only has the former actor faced two DUI charges this year, but he also encountered serious legal trouble in July 2023 when he was arrested on charges of felony assault and third-degree robbery. Following this arrest, he was sentenced to seven days in jail and placed on 36 months of supervised probation, as reported by People. Around this same time, Bryan was also accused of defrauding individuals through an agricultural technology startup.

In addition to these issues, Bryan was arrested in October 2020 for domestic violence, facing multiple charges that included strangulation, misdemeanor assault, and interfering with police reports. According to Entertainment Weekly, he eventually pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts related to that incident. Before these events, he was arrested for another DUI in May 2020.

Bryan’s former on-screen father, Tim Allen, has spoken about his legal troubles in the past. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Allen shared his perspective, describing Bryan as having grown into a “complex man.”

“I don’t know what’s going on with him,” Allen said. “Zach is a great kid who has grown into a complex man. All you can do is step aside and let somebody go through their process. At a certain point, he deviated from the guy I know to somebody who is reacting to situations that I had nothing to do with and can’t control. I don’t know what happens when people get corrupted. You just don’t know.”
