Jelly Roll recently concluded his Beautifully Broken tour
Rapper-turned-country singer Jelly Roll spent the past year touring the country for his Beautifully Broken tour. Inspired by his song of the same name, the tour provided a way for Jelly Roll to connect with fans by sharing his stories of overcoming hardship, addiction, and mental illness.
It is considered to be the singer’s largest tour to date. In total, the expansive tour made 53 stops in nearly 30 states.

Extensive health issues created challenges while on the road
During a recent visit to his wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast, the 40-year-old shared that he was “on antibiotics for 70 of the 90 days” of his Beautifully Broken tour. Jelly recalled going to the hospital for extreme stomach pain that pointed to appendicitis or a gallbladder issue right before the first show.
“I hadn’t ate for a week. Just could not. It was horrible… I thought we were gonna have to cancel the first five shows because I thought I had to get a gallbladder removed.”
While he does not discuss the results of that hospital visit in detail, he ultimately performed each of the shows as scheduled. However, that was not the end of Jelly Roll’s health challenges.
The “Save Me” singer later suffered from an infection in his jaw and underwent a root canal in the middle of the tour. Bunnie recounts:
“My husband literally went to the dentist, to the oral surgeon, had surgery on his mouth, pulled up, walked in, and walked on that stage.”
The oral surgery ended so close to showtime that Jely Roll says his mouth was still numb when he went on stage. He adds:
“It’s still there. I still gotta go get the cyst removed this month. I still gotta get a dime-sized cyst removed from the middle of my teeth.”
Jelly Roll reflects on the successes and challenges of the Beautifully Broken tour
Jelly Roll has been touring for over a decade, but his recent success in country music has catapulted him into larger venues and allowed him to connect with a wider audience. He reflects:
“It’s weird. Spiritually, it was the best tour of my life. Performance-wise, it was the best tour of my life. The 90 minutes we were onstage, I think we connected the way we’ve never connected from the stage, overall.”
However, the Tennessee native admits that the physical struggles had an impact on his experience as well.
“Physically, even though I lost 100 pounds, worst tour of my career. The good news was, all that kind of pushed me further into the health journey. These were all little guides.”
In 2025, Jelly Roll will take his Beautifully Broken tour to Canada. He will also join Post Malone for the Big Ass Stadium Tour.
