Jelly Roll Headlines The Music City Rodeo
Nashville’s first-ever PRCA Rodeo event took over Bridgestone Arena from May 29-31, 2025. The Music City Rodeo drew over 30,000 attendees over the course of three days. Fans witnessed memorable wins and were treated to a performance from one of country music’s top stars each evening. Some surprise performers even stopped by in true Nashville fashion.

Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, and Jelly Roll were the featured performers for the inaugural event. Jelly Roll, who is currently on tour with Post Malone for the Big A** Stadium Tour, took the stage in Nashville on Saturday, May 30th.

Jelly Roll Says He Won’t Play In Nashville Again For Two Years
During his set, Jelly Roll made a surprising announcement. He asked his band to stop playing for a moment and revealed something that he said could get him in trouble.
“This will be my last Nashville show until 2027, y’all. Hear me out, though. This is why, because I need y’all’s help. I want to be the first act to play Nissan Stadium, when it opens in the spring of 2027.”
Construction is underway for the new Nissan Stadium, which will be home to the Tennessee Titans. It is being built immediately adjacent to the current stadium, which opened in 1999.

Jelly Roll’s Nashville roots run deep. He is a Tennessee native and a self-proclaimed lifelong Titans fan. During his troubled youth, he was once incarcerated in the detention center that shares a parking lot with Nissan Stadium. He exclaimed:
“Nissan Stadium, please let the local boy live a dream and open up the new stadium, let me be the first to play it, baby! Let the local boy do it, baby!”
The 40-year-old was fired up as he shared his dream with the rodeo crowd. He concluded:
“Sorry, that’s crazy, but I gotta speak it into existence. I believe in Nashville. If all of y’all brought a friend, we could do it.”
