In late January, Josh Abbott and his wife, Taylor, announced they were expecting their second child.
The couple made the announcement next to a sweet snapshot of Taylor cradling her baby bump while Josh held their daughter, Emery. Emery was two years old at the time the photo was taken, but celebrated her third birthday in May.
“Surprise! Baby Abbott will be making his/her debut in June! We are so excited to share the news that we are adding another member to the group this year,” Taylor wrote on Instagram. She shared that she was 20 weeks pregnant at the time.

It appears Josh and Taylor chose not to find out ahead of time if they were expecting a boy or girl. In March, Taylor shared a video of one of her ultrasounds and asked her followers to chime in with their thoughts…was Baby Abbott #2 a little guy or gal?
“Not going to lie, I was definitely trying to see at the last Dr. appointment,” Taylor said. “But I’m still going back and forth. I want to know your guess!”

The responses were mixed, but most of Taylor’s followers guessed she’d welcome a baby boy in June…and they were right!
Baby Abbott made his grand debut on June 10, weighing exactly 9 lbs and measuring 20.5 inches long. Taylor and Josh announced his birth on social media, revealed his name, and shared some of his first public photos.
Josh and Taylor chose to name their son Luck David. His name gave his father the chance to make an adorable birth announcement, saying he and Taylor “Brought a little Luck into this world.”
“Everybody this is Luck David,” Josh said to introduce his son to his fans. “Mama & baby are healthy, happy, & home now.”

Isn’t baby Luck a handsome little guy? We love his embroidered blanket!
Congratulations to Josh, Taylor, and big sister Emery on their new addition. We look forward to seeing Luck learn and grow through the years.
