The CMT Music Awards will return on Sunday, April 7th, 2024
The 2024 CMT Music Awards will air live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas in just a few weeks. The annual fan-voted awards show celebrates videos created by the brightest stars in country music and promises to include “electrifying performances and tributes to industry legends.”
Kelsea Ballerini will return to host the awards show for the fourth consecutive year. She will be the sole host this time around, despite co-hosting the show with Kane Brown in previous years.
CMT Music Awards Nominees Announced
On Wednesday (March 13) CMT released the full list of nominees for the 2024 ceremony. Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, and Megan Moroney are all tied for the most nominations with three nods a piece.
Jelly Roll was the top winner at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, taking home three trophies. Will he repeat that success?
The collection of nominees also welcomes 14 first-time honorees this year, some of which come from outside of the genre. This is fitting for a network that emphasizes cross-genre collaborations.
