Justin Timberlake has been arrested on DWI charges in New York
Singer, songwriter, and actor Justin Timberlake was taken into custody Monday night (June 17) on charges related to driving while intoxicated. According to reports, Timberlake was pulled over for swerving and blowing through a stop sign after leaving dinner at The American Hotel in Sag Harbor, NY.
The singer allegedly performed field sobriety tests but refused to submit to a breathalyzer test on-site. He was then handcuffed and arrested.
No one was hurt during the incident.
A source from the Sag Harbor Police Department confirmed to TMZ that the 43-year-old was still in custody as of Tuesday morning (June 18).
Justin Timberlake is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, with his next two shows scheduled to be in Chicago at the end of this week.

UPDATE: Justin Timberlake released from custody Tuesday morning
As of 10:15am Eastern, TMZ reports that Timberlake has been arraigned and released without bail. He has been charged with one count of DWI (driving while intoxicated) and cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
Timberlake is being represented by criminal defense lawyer Ed Burke Jr. and is expected to appear in court in late July.
As of press time, neither Timberlake nor his representatives have commented on the situation.
