Triple AMA award-winning country singer, Kane Brown has had a whirlwind of a year. From getting married to longtime girlfriend, Katelyn Jae to producing his latest album Experiment to be released this November, his story of success is admirable. But, it hasn’t always been that way for the 25-year-old star. Brown admits that he grew up living a very difficult childhood with a struggling family life.

A Heartbreaking Childhood
While growing up in Georgia, Brown was mostly raised by his single mother and grandmother. From being bullied for his race to being labeled as the “poor kid,” it seemed like the young talent was never going to catch a break. In an interview with Taste Of Country, Brown explained how he and his mother would sometimes be forced to live in their car when there was no “home” to go back to. The singer even opened up about his rough upbringing in his song “Learning” where he talks about the importance of forgiveness.
Brown didn’t let his childhood troubles get in the way of his dreams though. With determination and hard work, Brown made a name for himself in the country music world with a tremendous amount of support. With his mom still playing a big role in his life, Brown has found ways to give back to her for all she’s done for him. Just last year, Brown bought a car for her on her birthday.

His Endless Love
On the Ty, Kelly, and Chuck Show this morning, Brown got real about what his family is experiencing at the moment.
“My mom’s going through some things right now, and I’m trying to help her out.” He continues, “She’s been living in my pop, which is her dad’s basement and she’s been really depressed. So I called her, and I was like, ‘Mom, I want to take care of you, so go pick out an apartment, whichever apartment you want.'”
So, she did just that. Brown paid for the apartment for a full year so his mom wouldn’t have to worry. His hope is that she’ll be able to get back on track and find a job that makes her happier. Not stopping there, the loving son also will be paying for her insurance and adding her to his payroll. Admittedly ending with “I want my old mom back.” It’s no doubt that this mama’s boy will do anything for the ones he loves most.
