On October 29, Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn, welcomed their firstborn child, daughter Kingsley Rose.
The couple waited a day before they shared the news of their daughter’s arrival. Kane was the first to post a photo of Kingsley, writing on Instagram, “KB3…welcome to the family Kingsley Rose Brown!!!!”

Katelyn followed up with her own photo and birth announcement a few hours later.
“obsessed with my little family…Kingsley Rose we are absolutely in love with you…” Katelyn wrote alongside a photo of her, Kane, and Kingsley together.

After Kingsley was born, Kane said that on Friday (November 1), he was going to release a new song dedicated to her. He stayed true to his word, and that new song debuted as scheduled.
Titled “For My Daughter,” the song has Kane singing directly to his newborn baby girl. He mentions all the things he’ll do for Kingsley as she grows, saying he’ll play catch with her and help pick up the pieces of her broken heart.
Kane also sings about his own childhood, and how his dad was never a part of his life. Because of this, he pledges that he will always be there for Kingsley, singing, “I grew up without a dad, I’m gonna be the best one I can be.”

“For My Daughter” ends with a simple, but emotional line. Speaking directly to Kingsley, Kane says, “Love you, baby girl.”
