On June 17, 2021, Kelly Clarkson finally sold her sprawling Tennessee mansion that first went up for sale in 2017. Days before, she finalized the sale on a new home in California, which is her first real estate purchase since filing for divorce from her husband of seven years, Brandon Blackstock.
According to The Los Angeles Times, the two-time Emmy Award-winning talk show host threw down $5.445 million for a 5,000-square-foot house in Toluca Lake, California. Her new house is quite a bit smaller than her recently sold 20,000 square-foot Nashville mansion.
The LA Times describes her Toluca Lake property as a Colonial-style 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom house set on a gated one-acre property with a brick courtyard, swimming pool, spa, gazebo, and guest house.
The publication also reports the house has “a bright yellow fireplace runs floor-to-ceiling in the sun room, and the dining room is wrapped in floral wallpaper. Whitewashed beams top brick floors in the kitchen, which is anchored by a wood island.”

While she has made her first home purchase since filing for divorce in July 2020, Clarkson is still trying to sell her Encino home she once shared with Blackstock for $9 million.
