Season 29 Of The Voice Is Shaping Up To Be Unlike Any Other

Kelly Clarkson is making her long-awaited return to The Voice for Season 29, and she’s ready to win!

Season 29 of The Voice will be unlike any other season fans have seen before. For starters, the season will only have three coaches instead of four. Those coaches are Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend.

This marks Clarkson’s first time coaching on The Voice since Season 23 in 2023.

Season 29 has an entirely new format and set of rules. Dubbed the “Battle of Champions,” here’s everything different coming to the show following its February 23rd premiere.

  • Three two-hour episodes will air during premiere week, with those air dates being February 23, February 25, and February 26.
    • After that, new episodes will air once a week, on Mondays.
  • The blind auditions will feature a new “Triple Turn Competition,” where each coach strives to earn the most three-chair turns.
    • The winner of the “Triple Turn Competition” will earn a “Super Steal” power to use during the Battles.
  • During the Knockouts, each coach will welcome back two of their prior contestants.
    • These performers will compete in sing-offs. The coach with the most sing-off wins gets to send two contestants from Season 29 to the Finale.
    • Former coach CeeLo Green will judge this all-star competition.
  • A new “voting block” will come into play later in the season.
    • This voting block consists of super fans and past Voice contestants.
    • The block will vote for contestants in real time during the Semi-Finals and the Finals.

The Voice recently offered a sneak peek at what to expect by dropping its first trailer for the season. The trailer highlights the playful rivalry between the coaches.

All three have won The Voice before: Levine three times, Clarkson four times, and Legend once. So they all know what it’s like to emerge from a season victorious, and they all want a repeat win!

Kelly Clarkson Shares How She Plans To Achieve Her Fifth Win On The Voice

After her three-year break from The Voice, Kelly Clarkson is determined to win Season 29. The Voice recently shared a video outlining her “Game Plan for Victory,” and it’s clear she has her eye on the prize.

While filling out her game plan, Clarkson said her strategy to beat the other coaches this season is to just be herself.

Oh burn!” she exclaimed, “‘Cause I won more than them.

She kept the friendly jabs coming, saying, “This is a short, little game plan, ’cause I don’t need a long one,” before tossing the sheet of paper to the side. Levine and Legend better watch out, because Clarkson clearly isn’t messing around this season!
