Kelly Clarkson Slams ‘Insulting’ Woman After Demeaning Article

Entertainment Tonight

After a scathing article was published, the beloved singer let the writer have it by calling her out in a very public way and dispelling the “demeaning” misconceptions that were written into the article.

Kelly Clarkson has long been known for her outspoken and purely ‘real’ personality – she doesn’t beat around the bush and she speaks her mind. This was very apparent in a recent tweet by the singer where she slapped the writer of an article for saying something about her that was 100% false.

The article, written by Lindsay MacDonald for Zap2It, declares Clarkson a “female celeb who may not understand feminism”. In the write-up, MacDonald tries to call her on the carpet with a quote from a former interview, and labels it as “shenanigans”.

When Clarkson got wind of this, she didn’t waste a second dispelling the implications from MacDonald’s article, and even threw a few jabs right back at the writer herself.

The article also mentions other celebrities and does the same to insinuate that they “might not” know what feminism is, while offering high praise to Beyonce for the actions MacDonald feels fully embodies feminism.

The Oxford Dictionaries defines “Feminism” as “The advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.”
