Kelsea Ballerini Forced To Stop Concert Due To Illness
Kelsea Ballerini, who is currently on tour, had to cut her recent show in Buffalo, New York, short after falling ill with the flu.
The “Peter Pan” singer took the stage at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center on February 6, just one day after telling the crowd at her previous concert that she was feeling under the weather. Despite being sick, she pushed herself to perform. However, after just five songs, it became too much, and she was forced to stop the show.
A member of Ballerini’s team then came on stage to inform the audience that she couldn’t continue the performance. They announced that the show would need to be rescheduled.
Shortly after the unexpected end of the show, Ballerini took to social media to share a message with her fans. In the video, she explained the situation and apologized for canceling mid-concert.
“Buffalo, I am so, so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” she said. “I am sicker than I’m trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight, and I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. I’m so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-a** show.”
She also mentioned that she would be rescheduling a few upcoming concerts as well, so she can have time to rest and recover fully.
“We are rescheduling tonight, Buffalo, tomorrow, Pittsburgh, and the next day, Toronto, to the end of the tour…and I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life, and I will pull out every stop for you, and I will make it so worth it,” Ballerini promised.
The five-time Grammy nominee also added that she was grateful for her fans being so understanding.
“I’m going to go rest now, and get better, so I can really show up for the rest of this tour, and I hope you understand, and thank you for the grace to be human, and I love you.”
The newly rescheduled concerts have been finalized and announced for ticket holders. Fans who attended the Buffalo concert will now see the show on April 11. The Pittsburgh concert will take place on April 12, and the Toronto show will be held on April 13.
We hope Kelsea Ballerini has a speedy recovery! Watch her message to fans in the video below.
