In honor of the 2025 Grammy Awards, Bunnie Xo shared a fun memory from the year prior. She and Jelly Roll did not attend the awards ceremony this year, despite Jelly Roll’s nominations for Best Solo Country Performance and Best Country Song.

How Jelly Roll “Fumbled” His Meeting With Taylor Swift
The “Son of A Sinner” singer opened up to PEOPLE about his encounter with the superstar. The two musicians share a mutual connection to middle Tennessee – Jelly Roll is a native, and Taylor went to high school outside of Nashville in Hendersonville.
In 2010, Taylor donated funds to build the Kids Kingdom playground at Memorial Park in Hendersonville, which had previously been destroyed by flooding. Jelly Roll took his daughter, Bailee, to that very same park as a child and wanted to let his crush know just how meaningful those memories were. He recalled:
“I’m looking at Taylor Swift, and I have a reason to explain to her why I like her so much, and I’m going, ‘You built the swingset somewhere, my daughter; I pushed her on it.’ I did so bad! Definitely was at a loss for words in that moment.”
