Jelly Roll Reflects On Overcoming Past Insecurities During Podcast Interview
Jelly Roll opened up to Jay Shetty on an episode of his podcast, the Jay Shetty Podcast. Shetty is a podcast host known for his deep and emotional interviews with the world’s most famous celebrities. His interview with Jelly Roll on October 14th did not disappoint.
The “Past Yesterday” singer shared insecurities and struggles with Shetty that he had “Never talked about before.”
Most notably, he opened up about his relationship with his body. During his interview with the podcast host, Jelly Roll said:
“I’ve done so many interviews and never talked about this. I was so insecure in my body for so many years that I found validation through women, and I thought that if I could pull pretty women that it would, then I wasn’t fat.”
He shared that before he met his wife, Bunnie, he used to find validation through women.
Jelly Roll Credits Bunnie For His Success
As the moving interview continued, Jelly Roll shared how Bunnie changed him. He went from chasing multiple women and getting his validation from women to wanting to be with just her. In his own words:
“When I got with Bunnie it was something that just happened, where immediately I didn’t want to talk to nobody I just wanted to be with her.”

When he met her, everything changed. He went on to say:
