Kenny Chesney Duets With Kelsea Ballerini On “Half of My Hometown”

The pairing of a country icon with a chart-topping younger hitmaker is one that many folks have dreamed of – and a reality that country sweetheart Kelsea Ballerini made happen on her latest single!

Ballerini’s duet with Chesney is titled “Half of My Hometown” and she actually recorded and released two separate versions of it – one on each of her albums that came out in 2020.

The first-released version was on her album titled Kelsea and featured the collaboration with Chesney, but the second version (which was a much moodier sound) was released on her September 2020 album Ballerini and did not feature Chesney’s vocals.

The pair took to the stage of the 2021 ACM Awards to share their remarkable duet with the world.

Nominated for Female Artist of the Year, Kelsea was also up for one of the night’s biggest honors but it ultimately went to her colleague Maren Morris.
