They will be one member short for the tour that is supposed to start this coming summer – but he’s leaving for a great reason.

Lady Antebellum has been enjoying some time off between their massive stadium tours and lead singer Hillary Scott recently welcomed a beautiful set of twin girls into her family. The band will be co-headlining the Summer Plays On tour with Darius Rucker starting in July 2018 – but they will be missing a very important person.

With the arrival of Scott’s two new children (in addition to her 4-year-old daughter), there is a much larger demand for time at the Scott household. This presents a problem, because as the lead singer – Scott can’t just stop working and stay at home with her babies.

Lucky for her, her husband is able and willing to do just that!

Both Hillary Scott and husband Chris Tyrrell are longtime members of Lady Antebellum – and that’s even how the two met! So, with the newest blessings in their lives, Tyrrell will be leaving the band for an indeterminate amount of time to stay home with his three baby girls.

“We’re both equipping each other to do exactly what we’re supposed to be doing right now,” Scott tells People. “We just came to that agreement together. It was one of the easiest decisions we’ve ever made and the peace that we’ve felt since we made it has just been continual proof of it being the right call.”

Tyrrell says that he’s “looking forward to it” – adding in a joke about who is more replaceable.

“Besides, when you looked at whether the band could do without me or her, there wasn’t much question!”

We couldn’t be happier for this beautiful family and their glorious new additions! What a wonderful blessing to be able to have one parent home at all times.
