On April 22, 2011, country/pop artist LeAnn Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian were married during a ceremony held at a private home in California. The pair’s relationship had been a source of public and media scrutiny for years, since they fell in love while they were still married to other people.
Rimes and Cibrian met while filming the made-for-TV Lifetime film Northern Lights in 2009. Each went through messy public splits from their former spouses that year, with both of their divorces being finalized in 2010.
Not long after their respective divorces were finalized, Rimes and Cibrian married. His two sons, Mason and Jake, were there on their wedding day.

Rimes and Cibrian have been together ever since, and just celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on Wednesday. Taking to Instagram, Rimes penned a passionate ode to her husband to express her love for him:
“My love for you is really quite indescribable,” Rimes said. “All the mushy stuff seems too surface. Our love is so much more than surface, it’s a soul remembering, a recognition of our true beauty and goodness within the other.”
Rimes went on to explain how she is comfortable in her own skin, but Cibrian makes her an even more confident person:
“I know, without yourself u, I can stand alone, but with you, I am stronger, because we lift each other to new heights,” she wrote.
To end her note, Rimes addressed her husband with a sweet message. “Here’s to 9 years! You are the only one I want to do life with. I LovE you,” she said.
