Country music star LeAnn Rimes performed her new single “The Story” live on “The One Show” August 1.
LeAnn moved the crowd with a stripped down performance of her new single with emotional lyrics flowing through her beautifully. The crowd watch stunned as she perfectly hit every note of the piano-based ballad.
“I fully embrace the journey I am on and have a deeper understanding of how every piece of my story serves a purpose in my evolution as a woman and an artist,” says Leann in a press release about the song. “This song is not only a love song but a song of self-acceptance and appreciation.”
“The Story” is about growing older and having your story unravel in front of your eyes. “All of these lines across my face tell you the story of who I am,” sings Leann.
While the song is mainly about how your story tells who you are and how you became who you are today, it is also about how life and your stories “don’t mean anything when you’ve got no one to tell them to.”
“The Story” is the lead single off LeAnn forthcoming 16th studio album. LeAnn has been recording music since she was only 13 making her the youngest country music star since Tanya Tucker.
