Lisa Marie Presley was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. But Priscilla had another child later in life. She welcomed a son with Marco Garibaldi named Navarone on March 1, 1987. Lisa Marie was already an adult when Navarone was born.
Lisa Marie died suddenly on Thursday (January 12) at the age of 54. Priscilla shared the following statement about her death:
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Elvis’ Graceland Estate also issued a statement about Lisa’s passing. They said:
“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

On Friday (January 13), Navarone shared an emotional post on social media about Lisa Marie’s death. He posted a photo of the two of them together, which was taken when he was still a young child.
Navarone said he was “lost for words” about his sister’s death. He wrote:
“Big sister… i hope you are now at peace and happy with your Dad and your son by your side. I know the past couple years weren’t easy for you, and I wish things had been different between us. regardless, you are my sister and I’m sending love and prayers for your journey home. I still can’t believe this, I’m lost for words. Love you sis. Beijos”
Navarone’s father is Brazilian. So it seems fitting that Navrone ended his post with “Beijos,” which is Portuguese for “kisses.”
