He won’t let anyone hurt his ‘little sister’ and has a message to her boyfriend to prove just that.
Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry have become fast friends since they began their first season as the newest judges on ABC’s reboot of American Idol. They’ve grown so close, in fact, that they are like family now.
Proving that point, Luke took to national television to issue a warning to Perry’s on-and-off-again boyfriend, Orlando Bloom.
Bloom, is best known for his role as Legolas bow-wielding elf in the Lord of The Rings movies. Luke makes sure to mention that while he did use a bow and arrow in the movies…it’s not going to help if he hurts ‘little sister’ Katy Perry.
After Sunday’s Idol episode the three judges spoke with the media about everything going on and their excitement to start on the recently-renewed season two.
As Access Hollywood brought up Perry’s boyfriend, Bloom, Luke had some choice words for him.
“I haven’t met Orlando yet to suss him out, check this guy out,” Luke said pointing at the camera. “If he hurts my little sister—I mean, he just thinks all that bow shooting he did on Lord of the Rings … I got some real-world bows.”
Perry and Bloom recently reconciled after splitting in February 2017 and they appear to be happier than ever after sorting out their issues.
