Lainey Wilson Successfully Co-Hosted The 2024 CMA Awards

It’s been an exciting year for Lainey Wilson. The “Hang Tight Honey” singer released her fifth studio album, Whirlwind, which has earned her a nomination in the Best Country Album category at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Another major milestone for Wilson which happened just a few months ago was co-hosting the CMA Awards alongside the event’s recurring duo, country star Luke Bryan and former pro athlete Peyton Manning.

They all brought great energy to the CMA Awards, held live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The event became the most-watched program on network television that Wednesday night (Nov. 20), drawing 6.082 million viewers.

Luke Bryan’s Kind Words To Lainey Wilson

The trio’s chemistry was evident on camera as they exchanged jokes throughout the night. However, their support for each other definitely goes beyond the stage. In a recent interview with Holler, Luke Bryan had nothing but kind and encouraging words to say about his friend Lainey Wilson.

“Lainey was great fun this year, and Peyton and I had a good time working with her,” Bryan told the outlet before his performance at the 2025 HGV Tournament of Champions.

“She is talented, energetic and so much fun,” he added.

Wilson has shown time and again that she doesn’t take life too seriously and loves to have fun. A great example of her humor came recently when she teamed up with Tracy Lawrence for a hilarious short skit to promote their show at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas last month, which was part of her Whirlwind world tour.

It’s no surprise that her personality fit right in with Bryan and Manning’s signature banter during the CMA Awards.

“[She] deserves all the praise and accolades coming her way!” Bryan concluded.

Maybe we will see Wilson, Bryan, and Manning host the CMA Awards again in the future!
