McCullum Opens Up About George Strait

They say never meet your heroes because they’ll never be who you want them to be; however, according to McCollum, George Strait lived up to his reputation as an honorable family man. During an interview with CMT, McCollum shared what George State is like when he is not performing his hits on stage.

“The King of Country” is one of the most successful country musicians in history, yet, according to McCollum, he has stayed grounded and prioritizes his family.

During the interview, McCollum said:

“What influenced me as a kid and still does to this day more than George’s music is the way he carries himself behind the scenes, off the stage, as a family man and a husband. That’s really the part that I try to pay the most attention to and take the most from when I get the chance to be around him. And I just think that’s so impressive with, you know, sixty number ones, he is the king of country music and as big as an artist and a talent could ever be in this business, and he still carries himself just like a great man. So I pay a lot of attention to that.”
