Luke Bryan Shows Off Never-Before-Seen Family Photos In “Fast” Music Video

If Luke Bryan released a full album of ballads, we’d buy it. Historically, his ballads do extremely well – if not better – than his booty shaking party anthems.

His song about a couple questioning the status of their relationship, “Do I,” hit the number two spot on the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts and gave Bryan his first top 40 hit on the Hot 100 chart.

“Drink A Beer,” which is probably his most emotional song, shot to the number one spot on the Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts upon its 2013 release. It tells the story of a man who honors the recent passing of his loved one by sitting on the edge of a pier, watching the sunset and drinking a beer, something they would normally do together.

“Fast” is a ballad that will pull on your heartstrings. He sings about things in life that you would normally want to be fast, including cars, kids on your sports teams, and falling in love, but in reality, the older you get, the faster life seems to move.

The music video is a compilation of him singing the heart warming song on an empty stage with pictures from his childhood all the way into adulthood with his children appearing on the screen. Images of a young Luke and his wife, Caroline, when they first began dating, when he starred in his high school musical Annie Get Your Gun, the birth of his sons, hunting trips, jam sessions and concerts were all included.

This video definitely struck a chord with us, making us reflect on our lives and how true the lyrics are, especially when he sings the chorus:

“Sixty seconds now feels more like thirty
Tick-tock, won’t stop, around it goes
Sand through the glass sure falls in a hurry
All you keep trying to do is slow it down, soak it in
Keep trying to make the good times last as long as you can
But you can’t, man
It just goes too fast”

The video ends with a sweet family photo of Bryan, his wife, their two sons, Bo and Tate, his nephew who the family took in after his sister and brother-in-law passed away, Til, and Til’s two older sisters. Watch the music video below.
