Even though a worldwide pandemic is going on right now, it’s not enough to stop Luke Combs from doing what he does best – writing great songs and bringing people together through music.
If you’re a fan, you’ve probably noticed how the 30-year-old country boy from North Carolina can take any experience or situation and write a song about it. His single, “Six Feet Apart” released across all music platforms on May 1, 2020. Appropriately named, Luke explained, in a recent Instagram post,
“It’s about the current times and us looking forward to the day all of this is over.”
The chorus of the song encourages people by reminding them that once this pandemic passes, we’ll all be together again, enjoying shows with our family and friends.
I miss my mom, I miss my dad
I miss the road, I miss my band
Giving hugs and shaking hands
It’s a mystery I suppose
Just how long this thing goes
But there’ll be crowds and there’ll be shows
And there will be light after dark
Some day when we aren’t six feet apart

Luke has been active across all of his social media platforms supporting other musicians, bartenders, and hospital staff by live-streaming performances from his home. Just a couple weeks ago, he announced that he was teaming up with Crocs to donate thousands of pairs to healthcare workers in Tennessee.

Crocs cares, as do I. Honored to partner with my friends at @crocs to donate thousands of pairs of Crocs to those risking it all on the front lines. Thank you to each & every worker at these hospitals, as well as hospitals all over the world. Y’all are the real heroes in this.
Alongside the release of his new song on May 1, 2020, Luke also announced that he will be joining forces with Miller Lite to support bartenders across the nation who are temporarily out of work.
.@MillerLite was coming on as a tour sponsor, but for now, we’re joining forces virtually. Join us for a live stream on May 1st at 8 PM EDT to support out-of-work bartenders nationwide. If there’s one thing that can bring us together, beer can. pic.twitter.com/0Dm5i5wdxB
