Going once, going twice, gone! The Tennesse mansion featured in the hit show Nashville has sold at auction. The expansive 20,533-square-foot house is located in Nashville’s prestigious Forest Hills neighborhood. It served as the home of the show’s leading lady, Rayna Jaymes, and was featured heavily throughout the seasons.
The palatial estate has hosted many celebrities over the years. According to various sources, Adele and Ed Sheeran have both leased the home at different points, Steven Tyler filmed his 2016 Super Bowl commercial in the two-story foyer, and artists including Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, and Paul Simon have performed within the walls.
The property was originally listed at $22.5 million and was gradually reduced to $13.5 million before going to a no-reserve auction.
Records show that the estate has been on and off of the market many times over the years. The 6-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom Georgian-style mansion sits on a 6-acre wooded property that is full of high-end amenities including a resort-style pool area, a climate-controlled wine cellar that holds 3,000 bottles, and a two-stall horse barn with tack and feed rooms. Additionally, the home boasts dining space for 50 guests and parking for 100 cars.
According to the Zillow listing, the final selling price of the mansion was $4.65 million – quite the contrast to the original listing price!
