Miranda Lambert’s Precious Pup, Cher, Has Died At The Age Of 15
Miranda Lambert is mourning the death of her beloved Chihuahua, Cher, who “crossed the rainbow bridge” on December 27.
The singer honored her “sweet bear Cher” in a heart-tugging tribute on social media, writing:
“Cher gave us 15 years of love and all the chihuahua attitude and energy she had to give. And if you have ever had a chi chi you know what I mean.“
Miranda adopted Cher from a shelter when the precious pup was only 10 weeks old. “I put her in my overalls pocket at the shelter and that was it!” Miranda said.
She recalled how she brought Cher to the ACM Awards in Las Vegas in 2010. Her stylist, Tiffany Gifford, matched her dress to the color of Cher’s fur so she could bring her on the red carpet. “And I won that year so she did the whole press room with me,” Miranda said.
Miranda shared how Cher continued traveling with her throughout her life. “Thank you to her sweet soul for all the road miles she traveled,” Miranda said.
When Miranda met her husband, Brendan, seven years ago, she had nine rescue dogs. Sadly, eight of those dogs have since passed away, and only one (Bellamy) is still with us.
Miranda shared a series of photos honoring Cher, the last one being an adorable snapshot of her and Bellamy snuggling each other.
“We sure are ready for a break from the heartbreak y’all, but they are worth every tear we have cried,” Miranda wrote. “Animals bring so much joy but I sure do wish dog years didn’t go by so fast.”

Miranda Lambert Lost Two Of Her Mini Horses In November
The past month has been a difficult one for Miranda and Brendan. Two of their mini horses, Adrianna and Sugar Pie, passed away on the same day in November.
Miranda had Adrianna and Sugar Pie for 18 years.
“I can’t tell you how much joy they brought me,” she said. “The best part about being an animal mom is the joy. The worst part is when the time comes to say goodbye.”
Alongside a series of photos and videos Miranda shared of her sweet horses, she wrote:
“Godspeed little bitty’s. I know you are both in greener pastures as I type this. I’ll see y’all again one day. Big love.”
