On October 18, Morgan Wallen released his latest single, “Love Somebody”
The song was written by Morgan Wallen along with John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Elof Loelv, and Ryan Vojtesak, and produced by Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome.
This track is the second single from Wallen’s upcoming album. He first teased it to fans back in May on his Instagram account, sharing a snippet set to a video of him on a boat in Nashville, Tennessee, with a few friends.
He captioned the sneak peek, “I feel like this one’s gonna sound good on the boat.”

Soon after, Wallen performed the song live for the first time before its official release. During his One Night at a Time Tour, he made a stop in Stockholm, Sweden, to play at the city’s Strawberry Arena. There, he included the live debut of “Love Somebody” in his 22-song setlist.
“Love Somebody” Becomes Wallen’s First Solo Song to Debut at No. 1
Wallen’s newly released track has debuted at number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, which is surprisingly the first time the country superstar has achieved this.
Although Wallen has had multiple hits in his career, he hasn’t topped the Hot 100 chart with a solo song in its first week of release until now. “Love Somebody” is his third song to make it onto the Hot 100 chart, however.
Previously, he featured on Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” which peaked at number one in May and stayed there for six weeks. His song “Last Night” also reached the top of the charts in March after its February release, dominating for 16 weeks in 2023.
On October 24, Wallen also paired the release of the new song with a music video featuring a live performance of “Love Somebody” from his record-breaking show at Neyland Stadium.
