Pamela Anderson Attacked On A Plane
During her interview discussing this new film release on the Happy Sad Confused talk show, Anderson revealed an interesting story about the Dixie Chicks, who are now known as The Chicks.
According to Anderson, when she was once on a flight, a man approached her, clearly outraged, and said, ‘”Do you know what this country’s done for you?’”
Anderson did not know why the man was so angry at the time.
In her confusion, she said, “‘Oh, my God. What have I done?’ I was like, ‘Oh god.’ I looked back, and he was (angry).”
It turns out that the man had gotten rather aggressive and was trying to attack Anderson. She went on to describe that “this stewardess had to handcuff him to the chair because he was trying to attack me.”
After that event, Anderson said, “I almost got killed on a plane; I was scared to fly after that, a little bit.”
Why Did He Want To Attack “The Chicks”
After the altercation, it was clear that it was a case of mistaken identity. The man believed that Anderson was a member of the group formerly known as the Dixie Chicks.
Now known as The Chicks, the group changed their name in 2020 amid the George Floyd protests, as people began to distance themselves from symbols associated with the Confederate flag, also known as the Dixie flag.
The controversy surrounding The Dixie Chicks began in 2003 when lead singer Natalie Maines criticized President George W. Bush regarding the Iraq War. Since then, the group has been politically outspoken. They even performed at the Democratic National Convention.
