Randy Travis Announces He Will Tour Again in 2025, “There is no greater gift than More Life…”

Randy Travis has been a favorite in the country music scene since 1979. He has released over 20 albums and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016.

He stopped touring in 2013 after a near-fatal stroke abruptly ended his career. He is making a comeback with a tour set to continue in 2025. In his inspiring Instagram caption, the “Forever and Ever, Amen” artist said, “There is no greater gift than More Life…” His words ring true as he fought to keep living.

The tour showcases the Country Music Hall of Famer alongside his co-star from The Price, James Dupré, accompanied by his longtime touring band. Together, they’ll perform all 16 of Travis’ chart-topping hits!

Randy Travis’s Health

Travis survived a near-fatal stroke in 2013, which impaired his mobility and ability to speak. As a result, he was no longer able to sing. The stroke affected a large portion of Travis’s left brain, impacting his ability to speak, write, and read. Since then, he has made few public appearances and released archival recordings.

In 2024, Travis released “Where That Came From,” his first new song since the stroke. It is believed that the song may have been created using AI and pre-recordings of his voice. This positive use of AI has had a significant impact on the singer.
