Country music star Brantley Gilbert drew an astounding crowd to Nashville’s iconic Broadway for what’s being called the “World’s Largest Album Release Party.”
On Friday (September 13), 118,000 fans packed the street from 5th to 3rd Avenue.
This monumental evening was in celebration of the launch of Gilbert’s seventh studio album, Tattoos. Each song on the project marks a key moment in the “Bottoms Up” singer’s life, like his actual tattoos do.
According to Nashville Music City’s announcement, Gilbert stated prior to the event:
“There’s no better way to celebrate the release of ‘Tattoos’ than a massive party with BG Nation on Broadway. We’re pulling out all the stops to guarantee an unforgettable experience, and we might even have a few surprise special guests up our sleeves. Y’all won’t wanna miss it!”
The free concert kicked off with Gilbert’s electrifying rendition of “Off The Rails,” setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Gilbert, who is expecting his third child with his wife, Amber, treated fans to a mix of his chart-topping hits and fresh tracks from Tattoos as the party continued.
The event capped off the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix’s “Freedom Friday.” There were even several surprise appearances by Ashley Cooke, Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts, Struggle Jennings, Colt Ford, and more.
The streets of Nashville came alive with special entertainment options like vendor booths and even an airbrush tattoo station, perfect themed for Gilbert’s album release.
Gilbert took a moment to thank his team and fans who showed up.
“We wouldn’t be here doing this without y’all, so thank you for being here. It means the world to us.”
