Reba Is Going To Be A New Coach On The Voice
If you missed the news, Reba McEntire is joining The Voice as a coach for its 24th season. She is taking the place of longtime coach Blake Shelton, who is leaving after Season 23 ends.

Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Niall Horan will join McEntire as coaches for Season 24.

Horan is the only coach returning from Season 23. He was new to the show this season, but he quickly formed a bond with Shelton.
The duo started calling each other “dad” and “son” during the blind auditions.
Niall Admired Reba While Working With Her During Voice Knockouts
Horan also got the chance to work with McEntire on The Voice. Prior to being named as a coach, she served as the Mega Mentor for Season 23’s contestants during the knockouts.
“It was an honor to work with Reba McEntire,” Horan told NBC. “Just to even be in the same room as her. She’s a legend. She transcends country music. She’s just an icon.”
Horan said he “was blown away” when he found out he was going to meet McEntire. He appreciated having the opportunity to work with her. “…she’s got wisdom that only a few people have. And she’s willing to give some of it away,” he said.
Reba Makes It Clear She Formed A Bond With Niall
It seems Horan and McEntire formed a connection as well.
McEntire was back on The Voice on Monday (May 15) to celebrate her upcoming role as a coach. She took a seat in Shelton’s red chair, which is next to Horan’s.

A video McEntire shared on social media shows her and Horan sharing a hug. Text over the video reads, “Find someone who looks at you like Niall looks at Reba.”
It’s clear the feelings are mutual between McEntire and Horan. In her caption, she expressed her want to sit beside him when she comes back to coach Season 24!
“I can’t wait to see where everything goes on season 24 of #TheVoice!” she said. “Can I sit by you @niallhoran?”
