Hosted by Kenny Rogers, Glen Campbell, and other fellow country superstars, The Country Music Association’s 25th Anniversary since its creation was a true cause for celebration across the nation, and as such, even Former President Nixon and the first lady attended this monumental event.

Joining together for a final performance to honor the American pride built deep within country music and to recognize the incredible strides the country music industry had made in the last 25 years, more than 20 country music legends (many who have now passed) joined together at center stage for a moving performance of “America The Beautiful”.

As Ray Charles began the impressive number, he calls out to the fellow musicians, saying, “Man, I wish I had someone to help me sing this!”
