Steve Irwin’s son, Robert, put his foot in his mouth while talking about his sister, Bindi, on live television.
The 17-year-old appeared alongside his mother, Terri, for a segment on Australia’s Sunrise morning show on Tuesday, Feb. 9th. During the virtual interview, Terri announced that Bindi was due to welcome her first child in March. In the segment, Terri joked:
“It’s that sweet spot where you really miss being able to see your shoes.”

Instantly, Robert laughed and chimed in with his own comment. In a charming and hilarious statement, Robert accidentally called his sister “massive.” After receiving a nudge from his mother, the teenager quickly realized his mistake and tried to make a quick recovery.
“She’s massive now!” Robert exclaimed before blushing a shade of red. “Like, in a good way! No, like, it’s special!”
The host of Sunrise, Samantha Armytage, poked fun at Robert, joking that he would be in trouble the next time he saw Bindi. Robert responded with a laugh and stated:
“I’m in so much trouble. I’m in so much trouble. Don’t tell her about this please.”
Fortunately, Bindi had a good since of humor about the incident!
