They told him NOT to be in the video, but the rising actor made his own decision for a role that would leave him with an immense following and the charming title of her “boy toy”.
Rising star and son of film legend Clint Eastwood, Scott Eastwood opened up to People about his agent’s insistence that he NOT be in Taylor Swift’s music video for her hit “Wildest Dreams”, but Eastwood had other thoughts on the matter.
“None of my agents wanted me to do it,” the 30-year-old actor says. “They said, ‘Oh, we don’t want you to do that! Why would you be Taylor Swift’s boy toy?‘”
It must’ve meant something if all of his agents were warning him against it, but the motives behind their warning aren’t clear.
While the actor was warned about joining the cast of her video, he bucked the idea and went ahead with the shoot anyway.
The lesson learned?
“And I said, ‘Why the hell not?'”, Eastwood confessed. “[It was a] fantastic experience.”
And it seems that his fame, fans, and upcoming roles have only blossomed since his appearance in “Wildest Dreams”, but it would be hard to tell if they were directly related to that or not.
