Scotty McCreery Steps Up To Help His Home State In Wake Of Hurricane Helene

Scotty McCreery was one of several artists who participated in the Concert for Carolina on Saturday (October 26). Luke Combs and Eric Church championed the star-studded benefit concert, which raised money for Hurricane Helene relief efforts in North Carolina.

As a North Carolina native, McCreery quickly signed up to participate in the event. The “Five More Minutes” singer previously expressed his heartbreak after seeing the devastation caused by Helene.

This storm has affected so many people, many of them are our personal friends and neighbors,” he said.

McCreery still lives in North Carolina. His two-year-old son, Avery, is named after the state’s Avery County, one of the areas Helene hit the hardest.

McCreery encouraged his fans to donate toward relief efforts if they could. He mentioned a list of organizations he and his wife, Gabi, personally donated to.

…the people there are what makes these mountains so special, and those people need our help,” he said.
