Scotty McCreery Feels “So Sad” To See The Loss & Damage Caused By Hurricane Helene

After Hurricane Helene tore through his home state of North Carolina, Scotty McCreery knew he had to do something to help.

The Grand Ole Opry member took to social media on Thursday (October 3) to share how he and his wife, Gabi, are “so sad to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.”

Scotty, who still lives in North Carolina, said, “This storm has affected so many people, many of them are our personal friends and neighbors.”

He said many of his followers have reached out asking for ways they can help. Scotty directed his fans toward resources to help everyone affected by Helene, not only in North Carolina.

Scotty mentioned the names of three organizations he and Gabi have personally donated to who they believe are doing “amazing work” in Helene’s wake. They are Samaritan’s Purse, Greater Good Music, and Baptists on Mission.

In a second slide on Instagram, Scotty mentioned how the North Carolina mountains mean a lot to him and Gabi. They married in the mountains and named their son, Avery, after North Carolina’s Avery County, where they live.

…the people there are what makes these mountains so special, and those people need our help,” Scotty said. “However you choose to help, be it [through] one of these three organizations, another group, donating supplies, or even just your prayers, thank you.”
