Country pop superstar Shania Twain likes to keep her private life just that – private.
She rarely even talks about, or even posts photos, of her husband of almost nine years, Frédéric Thiébaud. They were married on January 1, 2011 after a very public cheating scandal that involved both of their exes.
Twain was married to Robert “Mutt” Lange in 1993, but in 2008, she found out he was allegedly having an affair with her good friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. It was actually Frédéric, Marie-Anne’s then-husband, who informed the singer of the affair.

During her marriage to Lange, they had one child, a son named Eja (pronounced Asia) who was born in August 2001. She has called being a mother “the best job in the world.”

She doesn’t often speak about her 18-year-old son, but in a recent sit-down interview with Entertainment Tonight, Twain revealed that he is working in the music industry as well.
“He’s very passionate about making music, creating music, composing music,” she said. “He doesn’t have this desire to be on stage. I’m not sure if he would ever go in that direction. He’s following more in the footsteps of creating the music. He loves to orchestrate music. I’m very happy for him.”

This actually isn’t the first time she’s spoken about Eja’s musical endeavors. Last year, she promoted his debut EP titled First Contact.
Additionally, Eja served as a co-writer for one of the songs on her latest album, Queen of Me.
