All of Hollywood was on the edge of their seats during the announcement of the 2017 Emmy Award nominations on Thursday morning. Veep actress Anna Chlumsky and former Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore stood at the podium to announce this year’s nominees.
Of course, we kept our ears open for Nicole Kidman’s name, seeing as she gave an incredible performance in the HBO Limited Series Big Little Lies. Turns out, the Television Academy loved the series almost as much as us and gave them a whopping 16 nominations!
Kidman was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Limited Series or a Television Movie, and there is one person that couldn’t be prouder, her husband Keith Urban. He took to Twitter to congratulate his wife of 11 years.

The Emmys will be held on Sunday, September 17 and hosted by Stephen Colbert. According to several websites, Kidman is the favorite to win! Congrats to Kidman, and the whole cast and crew of Big Little Lies.
As excited as we are for Kidman to possibly win an Emmy, we can’t wait to watch her and Urban walk the red carpet! They are always the cutest couple! Watch them sing Urban’s hit song “The Fighter” together below.
